Queensland's Channel Country has launched a campaign to improve two important bush roads in order to open up access to the outback. The Beef Road and the Diamantina Road are both dusty, one-lane, narrow bitumen roads and their improvement could benefit industries such as opal mining, oil and gas production, organic beef, eco-tourism, and hydrocarbon development.
