Catch them when they're attentive, settled in their seats and eating popcorn - at the movies

Article Abstract:

Advertisers are taking advantage of the captive, paying audience as 24,000 of the 37,000 nation's movie screens now feature ads and promotions. Some movie-goers have protested and in few places there are bans and laws against ads but most seem resigned - even enjoying the ads that are more cinematically flavored. Advertisers are ecstatic to reach the 18-49-year-old demographic. Theater owners, though hope to be selective about which ads are appropriate.
