Safety tests face continual criticism

Article Abstract:

Safety tests conducted by consumer groups as well as government agencies to determine the probability of vehicle roll overs have failed to produce an industy standard after decades of testing. This development, which has infuriated consumer-safety advocates, is because of the fact that test results during such testings are not repeatable. The problem of replicating the actions of a human driver, unique in each instance, is what makes creating a standard impossible.

Honda's four-door Accord received a higher rating than any of the other 41 vehicles that were tested.
