Sea Monsters
Article Abstract:
Ocean waves are free to travel and evolve in any horizontal direction, and they depart from the so-called linear sinusoidal behavior as they steepen, acquiring sharper crests and shallower troughs, and this complexity makes it difficult to predict. Until and unless rogue waves could be predicted ships would be in danger, and the sailors have to rely on their intuition to save themselves.
