Secondary prevention of intimate partner violence: A randomized control trial
Article Abstract:
The objective of assessing the comparative safety behaviors, the use of community resources and extent of violence following two levels of interventions in instances of intimate partner violence (IPV) is presented. A randomized, clinical trial was completed in urban public primary care clinics with 360 abused women where two interventions were tested and it is concluded that simple assessment for abuse and offering of referrals interrupts recurrence of IPV and associated trauma.

Correlates of caregiver burden after coronary artery bypass surgery
Article Abstract:
Caregiving to coronary artery bypass (CAB) patients can be very stressful and meaningful depending on the interplay of many factors that may affect the spouse caregiver's health-related quality of life (HRQL), which in turn reflects on the ability to care for the CAB patient. The most burden experienced by caregivers of CAB patients is with monitoring clinical progress, managing behavior, providing emotional support and assuming household tasks.
