Article Abstract:

This may lead the television, recording and movie industries to adopt self-regulating practices before government standards can be drafted. Debates over violence and sex in rap lyrics and on prime time television have ed to the creation of many groups of concerned citizens and Bob Dole has discussed the issue on the Senate floor. Academic politics: is political correctness a problem on college campuses?
Article Abstract:
A backlash against political correctness (PC) on college campuses by conservative faculty and students has increased debate over issues such as academic freedom, the role of the university and free speech. Critics of political correctness claim that it leads to intolerance and stifles academic freedom. They also claim that PC professors are more interested in affecting social change than teaching needed skills to their pupils.
