Issues relating to the flourishing export business in Australia are discussed. The view is that booming export trade due to the weak dollar will cushion the blow of the anticipated downturn in the economy. Economists predict the brightest prospects for ten years.

Issues discussed include a proposal to create an Australian trade rights advocacy office to identify and react to trade barriers that are contrary to the World Trade Organization's rules. The benefits of creating this legal agency are analyzed.
