Sleeping booty
Article Abstract:
Two collectibles reappeared after being lost for hundreds of years. An elegant white marble mantlepiece once used as a stage prop and a painted console table were the works of two designers whose significance had been underrated. The table was designed by French designer Daniel Marot for Hampton Court, the English royal palace. The mantlepiece was sold at Sotheby's for 89,500 pounds sterling.
