Strong medicine

Article Abstract:

Big pharmaceutical companies have moved into action on speculation that Peter Costello's Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) might save nearly $1 billion by opening the door to deliver cheap generic drugs to consumers. The impact of the PBS and the proposed budget cuts on the pharmaceutical industry, which might drive drug companies offshore and force dramatic cuts to biotechnology research and development, are discussed.

Article Abstract:

A briefing by some of his friends suggest that Howard is merely presiding, as he no longer leads, and he looks like a PM with a mind more on a life beyond politics and therefore it is in his best interest to resign.
