Stumbling to the vote: missteps by the Yes side mask the confusion in the Ottawa ranks
Article Abstract:

Passionate politics
Article Abstract:
Politicians have engaged in a great deal of harsh rhetoric in the debate over the Oct 30, 1995, referendum on Quebec independence. Separatist and federalist leaders have set an acrimonious tone rather than debating the issues civilly. In contrast, most of the electorate seems less passionate.
