Suburban Democrats Undercut Myth of Republican Stronghold
Article Abstract:
The recent November 2003 elections produced some interesting results that contrasted with national trends. Democrats increased their lead in the New Jersey Assembly and won control of the State Senate. In New York, Suffolk County elected a Democrat for counry executive who joins the two Democratic county executives in Nassau and Westchester counties.
