The 91-year old author Studs Terkel, who accomplished a lifetime achievement award from the United States National Book Critics Circle for his book The Good War, has received numerous other awards but remains a down-to-earth person. Terkel doesn't know how to drive and has never sent an email but owes his life to technology and his career to communication.
