Professors of psychology at the Harvard University, Steven Pinker and Elizabeth Spelke debate on the issue that whether gender differences in math and science are innate. While Steven Pinker supports the issue, Elizabeth Spelke believes that due to social forces, it is impossible to evaluate whether biological differences are responsible in attracting more men than women in careers related to mathematics and science.

Johnson, a law professor founded the modern intelligent-design movement and spent 15-years working with the other intelligent design advocates at the Seattle-based Discovery institute thus increasing doubts about evolution among academics, legislators, and the public.
