The Australian media's focus on rugby players who take performance-enhancing drugs has brought much shame to the National Rugby League. Top players such as Newcastle's Robbie O'David tested positive to androstenedione and Wayne Richards tested positive for taking a different steroid. Furthermore, Stephen Crowe has admitted he took anabolic steroids to overcome a chronic injury.

When the South Sydney rugby league team was banned from Australia's National Rugby League competition in 1999, "Rabbitohs" chairman George Piggins believed that his club had been wronged and vowed to get justice. In July 2001, the Federal Court agreed with Piggins that the expulsion had been illegal, and South Sydney is likely to return to the competition in 2002.

Article Abstract:
A review of the life and character of Olympic Athlete John Landy is presented. Landy was known for being the second athlete to break the four minute mile record. He also won a bronze medal in the 1500 meter race at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.
