Kathryn Hall, who has been a public health administrator for 14 years, left her job to form "The Birthing Project." The group helps troubled pregnant mothers get proper health care during pregnancy until delivery. It has become Hall's mission in life to save the lives of at-risk infants.

Are you living mindlessly?

People often have mindless moments during which they are not 'there' while events are occurring. Children need to be taught to think critically instead of simply memorizing facts. A book on the subject by Harvard psychology professor Ellen Langer is discussed.
