Many in the Reform Party rebuked Brown when she suggested the party give up some of its more extreme positions and concentrate on broadening its base of support. If the Reform Party loses Brown, one of its best and brightest MPs, the party also stands to lose the support of many Canadians.

Chretien is deeper than he seems

The Liberal Party and its leader, Jean Chretien, say they support Canadian culture, but do nothing that would effectively protect Canadian cultural properties. They should take effective action or stop claiming to believe in protectionism.

Canadian country singer Michelle Wright's winning the Canadian Country Music Assoc's award for female vocalist of the year in 1990 was a high point in the singer's career. Wright may very well become Canada's next music superstar.
