The Tiger tamer
Article Abstract:
Twenty-seven-year-old professional golfer David Duval may be the most formidable competitor for superstar Tiger Woods. Duval earned more money on the 1998 Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) tour than Woods earned. He is an expert in all technical aspects of the game and is especially impressive in his mental approach to competition. His game is marked by patience and determination, and he has won nine tournaments since Oct 1997. Duval has not won one of the four major PGA golf tournaments, but analysts believe he is well-positioned in 1999 to win.
