The Finance ministers of Britain, France and Germany met at the World Economic conference to discuss plans for Europe's economic future, while ignoring political problems in the former Yugoslavia. The 11 members of the European Union congratulated themselves on a smooth transition to a single currency, but economic growth in Europe is not as robust as that of the US.
