The very first Internet browser was developed by the National Centre of Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) called Mosaic. Netscape Navigator was developed by Marc Anderson who was part of the team that developed Mosaic. Although Netscape developed had much success in distributing this model, Microsoft began Internet Explorer, which was packaged as part of the Microsoft Windows.
