This article presents information on the struggle for control of Victoria's parliament between the Liberal-National and Labor parties. Relevant points include the possibility of a hung parliament in the aftermath of elections in Victoria in October 1999, and poll results indicating that the Labor candidate will win the by-election scheduled for Frankston East on October 16, which will leave the Liberal-National Coalition with a bare majority of one vote in parliament.
