A worldwide financial crisis may stem from Asia's economic disaster as governments wonder whether failing Japanese and Korean institutions will bring down emerging markets such as those in China and Russia. Governments are better equipped to deal with recessions than in the 1930s, but Tokyo's lack of responsibility in stimulating their economy has officials worried.

Where's the panic

Article Abstract:

Hope is running high as the US economy has not been affected by the Asian financial crisis. In a trip to Asia, President Bill Clinton stated that Japan is the only country able to restore stability in Asia. Although many contend that technology stocks are returning to normal rates, the Asian economic outlook does not look promising.
