George Motza, Jr, won the Carnegie Hero Award for saving a boy from drowning in a lake in Oxford, OH. Motza died while saving the boy. Other award winners are profiled, including Deborah Rae O'Shields, who climbed barbed-wire fences in bare feet to save a boy who fell into an icy pond.
