The lessons of Bosnia's war

The architect of American policy that ended the Bosnian war was Richard Holbrooke, then-assistant secretary of State for European Affairs. His book "To End a War" will be published in 1998 and has received praises for its honesty and clarity. Holbrooke played a crucial role in the peace process, especially for the US decision to exert a combination of military and diplomatic power in 1995.
