Troops of East Timor's Falintil soldiers await a decision on the independence referendum, under instructions not to fight the Indonesian military and its militias pending disarmament. The threat presented by Indonesia's presence could affect plans for peace.

Trouble in Timor
Article Abstract:
The continuous threat to Timor from former militia operating inside the country has led to troubles in the country. The threats to East Timor, both internally and externally, have got worst with the Timor Gap gas revenues not due until mid 2005.
