Bombardier's British deals worth $7.8-billion

Paul Tellier, chief of Bombardier Inc. strongly believes that his turnaround plan for the troubled plane and train maker would ultimately succeed, even though the company would have to cut another 2,200 jobs at the rail division and a further reduce the production rate for its 50-seat regional jet. The announcement of the latest round of job cuts was made on December 1, 2004 as the company posted a lower third-quarter profit.
