Article Abstract:
Los Angeles, CA-based startup Net Effect Systems hopes to prosper by helping companies improve their customer service on the Internet. Many commercial Internet sites lack the human touch despite the fact that a Jupiter Communications LLC study found that 90% of online customers prefer human interaction. Net Effect Systems has therefore become a key player in the rapidly growing Internet World Wide Web-based customer relations industry, which analysts expect to generate $1 billion in revenues by 2002.
