Berkley adopts poison pill

Berkley Petroleum Corp. has implemented a poison pill so that it would have time to seek a higher acquisition bid than Hunt Oil Co.'s hostile takeover attempt. Hunt Oil made an acquisition offer of C$1.03 billion.
