Molson Inc. faces an unusual problem as it moves to merge with U.S.-based Adolph Coors Co. Much of its advertising for its flagship Canadian brand has centered on nationalistic appeals, beginning with the tagline 'I Am Canadian', peaking with the fervour behind the 'Rant' commercial extolling all things Canuck, and continuing most with ads that tag American beer as an oxymoron.
