Up in the air: long-distance competition squeezes new phone companies

Increased competition among long distance companies in Canada after deregulation of the industry is causing many new long distance companies to have financial problems. Rogers Communications is hedging on whether to buy part of Unitel, a larger long distance company that is in debt.
