Brenda Reed was reluctant to tell people about her husband Capt Eddie Reed who had been killed in the Vietnam Conflict because she lacked information about how he died, and many people viewed the Vietnam War as immoral. In 1987, Reed visited Vietnam and discovered her husband had died a hero.

About 75% of all foster children must live apart from other siblings. A program sponsored by Camp T Belong, a volunteer service brings siblings together in a summer camp for at least one week a year. The cost per child is $35-0 for six nights. The camp was started in 1995.
