What if? History's parallel history
Article Abstract:
The appeal of imaginary history, which is concerned with what might have transpired had a particular historical event of great significance not occurred, stems in part from the inherent uncertainties of historical study. Some tongue-in-cheek suggestions for future imaginary histories are made.

The seemingly overwhelming amount of information, in both electronic and paper form, has created a problem in deciding how and what to keep stored. Information material is so abundant that archival storage has become a major headache for archivists and others required to save documents.
