Will Time Warner, AOL make a good fit?
Article Abstract:
The merger of America Online Inc (AOL) and Time Warner Inc has been through the final regulatory hurdle. However, the combined company's CEO Gerald Levin has yet to face the challenge of putting together two different corporate cultures. Preventing turf fights is critically important to Levin who has promised to boost AOL and Time Warner's combined cash flow by 30% and find at least $1 billion in synergies in the first year of the merger. Levin will also have to learn to share power with AOL Chmn and CEO Steve Case wo will be chairman of the combined company.

Media moguls have second thoughts
Article Abstract:
Heavy weights in the media industry, after years of ruthless expansions, feel that it is wrong that media companies have grown so large that independent voices cannot be heard by the world at large. Most of the media giants are calling for a total overhaul of the system so that smaller producers can share their expertise with the world but despite all such talks the media industry will only see many more consolidation deals taking place.
