Abolish land tax? Pigs might fly

Henry George, an American suggested that the imposition of a single tax on land would encourage better use of land and counter rising land prices. Although the media, landowner and Property Council campaigned to have land taxes abolished, they are bound to fail until direct investment in property becomes much more important in Australian investor's portfolios.

Don't take all surveys as gospel
