'The State of 50+ America, 2006' report reveal that incomes in 2005 stagnated in an economy in which prices continued to rise and there was a decline in the number of people who were happy with the state of their health. A further troubling observation was that more people lived in isolation due to lack of transportation and fears about neighborhood safety.
