Bake like an Egyptian: sourdough bread just like the ancients used to make it
Article Abstract:
The discovery of two bakery rooms that were used in ancient Egypt led to the recreation of the Egyptian sourdough baking process. It was found that the Egyptians pre-heated the tops of the pots, and put the bottoms in burning coals. The baking process took approximately 90 minutes.
