Chipping away at the market: investor of the month
Article Abstract:
Andrew Ogg amazed relatives by giving up building after 22 years and selling the family home, at age 42, and putting the proceeds into share, or stock, trading, with his wife's support. His goal is to double his money every three years and he has made 60% on his original investment six months from his deadline, with 40% of his money to play with and 60% in long-term blue-chips. So far he says he has made a good living, is getting satisfaction from the investing, and feels much better physically. Some good and bad trades are reviewed. Biotech is of interest to Ogg. He tracks 35 stocks, but is not a practitioner of technical analysis.
