State of the market
Article Abstract:
The Australian sharemarket reached 2700 on June 20, 1997, an all-time high in its 126-year history. The majority of speculators believe it will continue to the 2800 mark. They cite falling bond yields and low inflation. Still, cash management trusts have grown by 41% since June 1996. These accounts pay attractive interest rates and allow investors access to cash immediately.

Planners out of the bunker
Article Abstract:

Most say medium size firms will not do as well as boutique businesses. Financial planners are divided on whether to charge a fee for their service or keep their fees commission-based. Much effort has gone into developing policy issues.
