Hurricane Andrew puts spotlight on mobile homes
Article Abstract:
Hurricane Andrew damaged many mobile homes as it passed through southern Florida in 1992. Of the 2,000 mobile homes in Homestead, FL, only ten survived total destruction. The Dept of Housing and Urban Development has been asked to implement more stringent rules for mobile home construction.

Accounting rule puts retiree health benefits on books
Article Abstract:
The Financial Accounting Standards Board is requiring businesses with over 500 employees to post the projected retiree health benefits cost. The rule will become effective as of Jan 1, 1993. The projected costs will also force employees to realistically evaluate their obligations.
