Physicians own shares in clinical laboratories, imaging centers and other medical care facilities. Joint venture medical facilities operate on a self-referral system. The ethics of medical self-referral and the quality of laboratory results should be questioned by patients.

Are trembling hands normal with aging?

Essential tremor (ET) affects about four million people, causing slight shaking of the hands or head. Many people dismiss the condition as a result of old age or nerves, but ET can be treated with drugs. The difference between ET and Parkinson's disease is discussed.
