Almost every Modern Maturity reader who responded to a survey about exercise said that keeping physically active was an important goal. Sixty-four percent said they exercise every day, while 31% exercise a few times a week. Only about 19% participate in competitive sporting events.

From a distance: long-distance caregiving: result of a society on the move
Article Abstract:
Increased life expectancy and the mobile society in which we live have contributed to a growing number of long-distance caregivers, in particular children trying to care for aging parents. Such caregivers are advised to clarify needs and to investigate local support networks.

Thoughts on generational equity
Article Abstract:
The costs paid by successive generations for entitlement programs and other public policies increases with each generation. The costs may not increase as much if government health-care spending was reduced. The social aspects of government spending are examined.
