Steam turbine retrofits
Article Abstract:
Steam turbine retrofits offer fossil fuel and nuclear plants added reliability with a justifiable cost. Retrofits, when coupled with boiler and point-of-balance enhancements, provide power plants with greater efficiency. Companies including Westinghouse, Siemens, GE, GEC ALSTHOM, Foster Wheeler and Black & Veatch are among those capitalizing on the benefits offered by retrofits. For its part, steam turbine retrofits help increase efficiency which in turn lessens the plant's environmental impact through reduced emissions.
