Comments on Measurements and Models for Total Solar Irradiance on Inclined Surface in Athens, Greece
Article Abstract:
A study on total solar irradiance on inclined surface in Athens, Greece, is similar to an earlier study conducted in Valencia, Spain. However, there are significant differences in the conclusions reached by both studies. The new study's conclusion that further research is needed to distinguish the various sky diffuse models does not take into account the relatively easy comparisons that can be drawn from the models.

Comments on "available solar energy in an absorption cooling process." (response to M. Izquierdo Millan, et al., Solar Energy, vol. 56, p. 505, 1996)(includes reply)
Article Abstract:
Detailed criticisms were conducted on a proposed model for solar energy conversion. The model involves two upper bound formula equations and a Carnot factor equation. The model also considered effects that have already been included in previous studies. These involve the effects of heat capacitance, convective losses, solar direct and diffuse radiation and low concentration or unconcentrated radiation.
