Diamonds and ice
Article Abstract:
The harsh winter condition does not prevent surveying firm Canamera Geological from exploring Canada's Northwest Territories for diamonds in behalf of about 150 diamond mining companies. Modern equipment such as satellites allow Canamera to survey the area and detect regions suitable for further examination. Despite the advanced technology for surveying, the firm still relies on traditional exploratory techniques to search for indicator minerals such as kimberlites, whose formations could serve as trails for prospectors to follow.
