A commentary on Khalil
Article Abstract:
Moral commitments should not be defined as tastes, as there is a profound difference between the two concepts. While taste specifies which objects and actions satisfy desires, moral commitments define which objects and actions are against the values that those who maintain these commitments seek to uphold. The uselessness of modelling all behavior by one model, particularly the neo-classical paradigm, is illustrated by a discussion of the marriage contract and marriage vows requirements.
