Conflicting parts of happiness in Aristotle's ethics
Article Abstract:
The relation between one's own happiness and broader ethical and altruistic considerations in Aristotle's ethics has been interpreted dualistically according to the Kantian interpretation and inclusively according to the Hegelian view. Inclusivism has been used to show that Aristotle's position is not egoistic. However, neither position does full justice to Aristotle's position, which actually represents a subtle blending of the Hegelian and Kantian views. In the end, it is doubtful whether there is any significant difference between the two interpretations.

Why modesty is a virtue
Article Abstract:
Modesty involves having genuine accomplishments, while at the same time not caring whether one is evaluated highly because of these achievements. Humble persons regard themselves as extremely humble because all the good things attributed to them are not really their accomplishments. They attribute their accomplishments to God, and since these are the essential features of modesty, modesty is considered a virtue.

Aristotle for women who love too much
Article Abstract:
The three types of friendship utility, pleasure and virtue are debated on the basis of Aristotle's interpretation. Arguments suggest that Aristotle's depiction of friendship is abstract and is bettered by referring to it as perfect friendship.
