Public philosophy and international feminism
Article Abstract:
Public philosophy can contribute to practical domains such as medicine, law or development policy by providing a basic and systematic understanding to guide application of prescriptions and rules. Philosophy should be based on experience and practically oriented while retaining concerns for conceptual distinctions. This approach is exemplified by work on development economics and women's quality of life conducted through the World Institute of Development Economics Research (WIDER) of the United Nations University.

Feminism and multiculturalism: some tensions
Article Abstract:
Some generally unacknowledged tensions exist between feminism and the group rights claimed under multiculturalism. Gender inequality is entrenched within most cultures, as they devote much energy to control of women and maintenance of gender roles. Minority women will not benefit from the granting of group rights to a patriarchal culture by a society that is less patriarchal. Intragroup inequalities, especially those related to gender, should thus be considered when liberals argue for group rights.

Why killing some people is more seriously wrong than killing others
Article Abstract:
An argument is presented that the Equivalence Thesis ought not to be rejected and that the trilemma of morally wrong conduct should be resolved by rejecting the Equal Wrongness of Killings Thesis.
