The use of deception in nursing
Article Abstract:
Nurses use deception due to organizational needs. It is difficult to predict the consequences of deception, so it is advisable to use deception only in those cases where it does not have any negative effects on patient-medical staff relationship. A study of 251 nurses indicates that deception is used in rare cases and there is a varied tendency among nurses to use deception as a method of treatment.
