What form of business regulation is workable?
Article Abstract:
US administration have planned that business should be allowed to regulate themselves, however, there are growing concerns whether corporations will be able to regulate themselves in a responsible way. An argument is presented where serious problems with alternatives to self-regulation-government regulation, investor control, and market discipline are detailed.

Figures of evil in the business world

The possibility that evil sometimes assumes a more active and creative form is explored. In particular, evil often appears to be identical with imaginative figurings that have the effect of absolving the imagining agent of any responsibility, preventing this agent from engaging in self-scrutiny, and reinforcing the agent not to change his or her behavior.

Hybrid vehicles, consumer choice, and the ethical obligation of business

Effects of extensive use of hybrid vehicles are stated to be less dangerous than apprehended. To further reduce the risk involved therein, the moral question whether government or business institution, or both, should be proactive to alter individual consumption patterns is addressed.
