Who are the stakeholders? What difference does it make?
Article Abstract:
It can often by difficult to identify what a company should consider when taking into account its stakeholders' interests. In many cases, discussions of stakeholders regard stakeholders as being any third party interest. In fact, designating people or groups as stakeholders actually does not say much at all about what attention should be paid to them. It also does not help in establishing their status in relation to the company in which they are stakeholders. It is possible to identify five general relationships which may exist between a company and those who have interests in its activities.

Stakeholders and consent
Article Abstract:
Consent theory can be useful in considering the notion of stakeholders. A 'stakeholder' is defined as a person who has a vested interest in a particular activity or stands to be affected by its outcome. The concepts of informed consent, putative consent and future-oriented consent are discussed in relation to the concept of stakeholders.
