Awash with light weapons

Article Abstract:

West African governments on November 1, 1998, established a 3-year moratorium on the import, export and manufacture of light weapons in the area. Governments in Sub-Saharan Africa such as Mozambique and South Africa have also taken steps to limit light weapons. Small arms such as machine guns and grenades are responsible for between 80% and 90% of casualties in modern warfare.

Speed is a relatively recent concept, one in which space and time had to be separated before it could be. In the postmodern age, people think that it is a given from which they cannot escape. Speed once meant vitality or being quick. Being vital means being alive and quickening, coming to life.
